In today’s scripture, a miracle is just beginning that will be
ongoing. Jesus the risen one is now alive and active in a different
way than before his death; and God’s saving work in Jesus continues
in the church today, through the Spirit. What indicates to you that
the risen Christ is at work in your family or parish today? Indeed,
what are your own actions in the Spirit that bring Jesus to the
world right now? These are questions, as committed Catholic
Christians, that we need to ask ourselves every day.
The following are the 14 causes that Witness for Peace Southeast
prayed for during the Economic Justice Way of the Cross on Good
Friday several weeks ago when they proclaimed the Gospel at the
State Capitol. They are worth our continuing prayers and actions.

Christ can be present in our midst today if we are open to allow the
Spirit into our lives. Let us pray and act.
