Baptism Preparation Program

As you know, the parish staff has been assisting Father Oschwald with a revamping of our baptism preparation program for parents/godparents of infants – age 7 who desire baptism.

Please follow the steps as listed below to have a child baptized in the Cathedral:

Call Shirley Hilliard at 832-6030. She will take down the necessary information and then send you a welcome letter from Fr. Oschwald. The letter will indicate what your next step will be. It is perfectly fine to take this class while you are expecting the baby.
Following receipt of the letter - typically, you will then schedule to participate in Class #1 by calling Debra Weston at 832-6030.
At the class, you will be able to schedule both Class #2 (which is an “instructional” rehearsal with Deacon Mike Alig) and the actual baptism date.
The fee for Sacramental Preparation is $40.

If you are planning to have your child baptized at another Catholic Church or you have an unusual situation or just a question - please contact Shirley Hilliard at 832-6030. She will be able to provide you with all the information you will need.
